Thought it'd be fun to do this. Post your New Year's Resolutions for 2016 here - might be nice to be able to look back on them when the year is done.
Mine:
- Get some of my stuff together (I know, it sounds serious, but I really need to do this)
- Continue the exercising/normal eating -not dieting- that I've started to do in 2015
- Stop following the marketing for any movies/video games that I already know I'm gonna see/play
- Continue to get into lucid dreaming
- Write as much as possible in as many different ways as possible (varying from the RP to fanfics to my own fiction)
EDIT: Oh, I forgot one.
- Get back into reading big-time... and read a ton of books.

- Draw more regularly - Write more regularly - Continue studying Wicca - Learn Japanese And not technically a resolution cuz its not something I have to really resolve to do, but I got SATs in March and I'm gonna get accepted to college soon after  |

Ohh... this is an excellent idea.. I have one main goal this year: To lose weight and to exercise. I refuse to use my back as an excuse any more! Fuck! I was turning into Teddie, and that is a path I do not want to go down! I'm going to take charge of my life this year, and be who I want to be. In order to do that I need to feel better about myself. At the moment, I hate how I look, it affects my confidence and my mood, so that is the thing I need to take care of this year. When I get down to a decent weight.. I'll finally post a picture and show you all what I really look like at the moment, and then how I look once I've lost weight. So, I'll say now, I apologise if I get snappy with people when I first start the diet; for me, food is an addiction, and I tend to get even more bitchier than normal when I first cut out sweets etc. However, I've come to realise that I'm letting my life pass me by; it's stopping me from going out and meeting people - sorry to Alex and James, I will meet up with you guys soon. And I want to meet as many of you as is possible, including Sim and Phoenix. Hell, who knows - I may even get to America and finally give Eliana a hug. I'm sorry Dee... but I'd be too scared to get off the plane in Australia.. I'd just be looking for spiders and drop-bears all the time >.> So, that's it. I only have one resolution this year. Oh... actually, I have two... I'm also going to kill off an RP character >.> Erm.. and also lucid dreaming.. I really want to have a go at this Okay.. I think I'm done now |

Not sure what my resolutions are for this year other than to lose weight and get a job :L been trying since I was 21, this year will be the charm...I hope :x

Wow! New Year's resolutions. You know I have not really made or even thought of making any resolutions. I never continue with them. But maybe I should.
The primary one is the same as Silver's. I really need to lose weight and maybe we can do it together. Keep each other's spirits up, and encourage each other. Do a running diary of our exercise and what we eat? What do you think Silver?
The main motivation for this? When I went to get the trash bin from the curbside, and was a bit winded just coming in the house and up the stairs. And the stairs consist of two landings with six stairs each! If I had to go and do a walk with the dog right now, I would be lucky to last five minutes. '
So there is my one resolution. To try and lose weight, although while it is cold outside I will walk using my Wii Sports.

The only resolution I made was when I might not have been entirely sober on New Years Eve. Help tidy up after parties, 'cause I didn't really do that. So far its going well

So, how did everyone's New Year's resolutions work out this year?
Mine didn't go completely as I wanted them to (though I did take steps in the right direction), except for maybe the one where I avoid marketing as best as I could - which I did, even though I still caught some stills or a second of a trailer here and there. Oh, and I didn't do it all for Batman v Superman. But whatever.
For next year, my plan is quite simply this:
New Year's Resolutions 2017
- Avoid all marketing for anything I wish to play/read/see as best I can
- Write and read a lot more
- Get healthier

Happy new year everyone, hard to believe the time passes by so quickly...
Looking at my old resolutions, only one was realized and that's "Draw more regularly". Found out writing really isn't for me (at least at this point in my life) "Studying wicca" Didn't really do that, I need to though if I'm gonna say that i'm wiccan/pagan xD and "Learn Japanese" I think it'd be fun to do and its a great thing to know more than one language, maybe I'll add it again.....
(And that college thing, I've decided that thats not the path I want to go down at this time. I know what I want from my life)
So, new resolutions for 2017
Overarching Goal - Earn a living from my art
Goal 1: Make some amount of money from my art
Goal 2: Get my website up and running
Goal 3: Continue to improve and improve in my art and spend much more time working on it.
Goal 4: Study wicca and paganism
Goal 5: Learn Japanese

I didn't do very well with my main resolution >.> okay I failed miserably ..but like they say: if at first you don't succeed... Anyway, to make up for the first one failing miserably I killed off five RP characters >.> actually that makes up for not doing the third one as well <.< Anyway I'm giving lucid dreaming a miss ..I don't think I get a deep enough sleep to do that tbh but will be trying harder with the diet and also need to give up smoking at some point ..it's so damn expensive nowadays and with not working that's going to be a difficult habit to keep up with. So, if I scream fuck off at anyone for no reason you'll know I've stopped >.> Also, I plan to read all the canon Star Wars books ..thank you, Phoenix for that list I think that's it really ..let's see how it goes this year |
